All-on-4® Dental Implants in Houston, TX

All-on-4 dental implants provide a revolutionary method to fasten dentures for a total restoration. This treatment works by implanting the screws (dental implants) into four points on the upper and/or lower arch. In contrast to other enhancement dentures, All-on-4 uses fewer implants to give you a secure fit. Generally speaking, All-on-4 implants may be a suitable option for patients who are looking for a completely restored smile without the inconvenience and dietary restrictions that come with removable dentures, as well as patients who may not be willing or able to have a full arch of individual implants placed.

You may feel some pain and discomfort following the placement of All-on-4 dental implants. Temporary restorations may be placed while your implants fully integrate with the jawbone, and there'll be some dietary limitations and cleaning directions to follow. You will also come in for regular follow-ups during the recovery period so our team can assess your healing and recovery process. As soon as your custom restorations are affixed to your implants, you can clean them just like natural teeth with daily flossing and brushing. You should still visit Palmer Dental Group of Houston for yearly exams and bi-annual professional teeth cleanings to maintain your implants and restorations, and so we can monitor the health of your gums and jawbone overall.

Implants by All-on-4 can be used to replace the lower and/or upper arches with implanted screws attached to custom dentures. You could be an good candidate for All-on-4 if you prefer the advantages of implant-supported dentures compared to traditional, removable dentures, including few or no dietary restrictions, no messy glues, and no special cleaning. First, we will take impressions and x-rays of your mouth. Dr. Palmer will create your unique treatment plan and discuss your options for sedation during your procedures. In your first appointment, the implants will be placed in your gums and jawbone. Dr. Palmer will put a temporary denture to protect the implants as your mouth heals and your custom dentures are being crafted. In a few months, you should return to get your custom-made dentures attached and then adjusted for a good fit.
